About Terry J. MacDonald

Terry grew up in Butte and now lives in Missoula. He is an avid Montana Grizzlies, Notre Dame, and Chicago Bears fan, and golfs when he can. He and his wife have two children.

Terry received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Montana in 1984, with high honors and his law degree from the University of Montana School of Law in 1988 with honors.

Terry is a member of the Montana Bar Association, Western Montana Bar Association, Montana Trial Lawyers Association, and American Bar Association.Terry has been practicing law in Missoula for over 36 years and has extensive experience in both state and federal courts in Montana.

He has an “AV” rating from the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory (the highest rating). He has also been voted in The Top 100 Trial Lawyers of ATLA, Top 10 for Client Satisfaction, the Northwest Super Lawyers, and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100.

Terry’s experience includes trying many cases in the areas of personal injury, toxic torts, and business litigation, but now focuses primarily on personal injury litigation.
